Meet Dr. Christine Stephenson and her sister's dog, Jax (not pictured: Christine's adored cats Daphne, Longbow, and Bear). We are EXTREMELY lucky to have a DVM as wonderful as Christine--in addition to working for RPRV, she has been commissioned as Captain Stephenson in the Army Reserves Veterinary Corps, where she puts her skills to use while serving her country.

q: what is your favorite experience working at rprv?
A: I love that every day is so different! I also love being able to give medical care to animals that might otherwise never get to go to a clinic!
q: what is your proudest atypical accomplishment?
A: Winning tickets to a show by getting a perfect score on “name this dead celebrity” trivia!
q: what is your most prized possession?
A: My high powered air filter that keeps all the pet dander at bay.
q: what is your go-to comfort-binge TV show?
A: Arrested Development or Community!
q: what is the the trip you most want to take, but haven’t yet?
A: Go to Scandinavia and see the northern lights.
q: what is your favorite word?
A: Melodious!
q: what would your last meal on Earth be?
A: Perfectly cooked (rare to medium rare) steak, sweet potatoes, and creme brûlée for desert! Unlimited sushi is a close second.
q: what animal would you be if you knew you’d be reincarnated as an animal?
A: If I was good, a Cheetah. If I was bad, the Gazelle!
q: what is something you were embarrassingly late to realize?
A: Mine is all food related…. that cilantro and coriander are the same thing. And that chickpeas and garbanzo beans are also the same thing!
